Herring with Roasted Garlic Dressing
INGREDIENTS:

List of ingredients
6 filets of pickled herring
1 cup (2 ½ dl) mayonnaise
1 ¼ cups (3 dl) sour cream
6 cloves of garlic
½ cup (1 dl) finely chopped parsley
1 finely chopped red onion
Juice and zest of 1 lime
Salt and pepper
PREPARATION:
In a frying pan, roast the garlic cloves golden brown in a little oil over medium heat.
Chop the garlic, and cut the herring into slices of about 2 inches.
Mix with the remaining ingredients. Season with salt and pepper.
Place in the refrigerator for 24 hours before serving.

The herring has somehow developed from being the poor man's fish to become the fish everyone eats at the festive holidays. The drinks here are rather straightforward — and no food-drink fuzz should be applied here… It is a Swedish party!
