Open-Faced Fried Mackerel Sandwich
INGREDIENTS:

4 slices toasted white bread
2 mackerel filets
Hickory Sauce
Lettuce
Sauce
¾ cup crème fraîche light
½ cups grated parmesan cheese
3 minced garlic cloves
The Avocado
2 avocados
1 thinly chopped Spanish onion
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
salt and pepper
PREPARATION:
Season the fish with salt and pepper.
Grill the mackerel in butter and oil for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side.
Put it in a plate and brush with the hickory sauce.
Sauce: Mix all the ingredients for the sauce and season with salt and pepper.
The Avocado: Slice the avocado into pieces and mix with the sliced onion and other ingredients. Season with salt and pepper.
To assemble the sandwich: Bread on the bottom, then sauce, avocado, lettuce and of course top with the mackerel.
Wine and Drinks
The mackerel sandwich would be even more wonderful with some white wine. Try this!
Economy: beer
Mid-range: “Fatty” and oily white wine from Australia.
Gourmet: pinot gris, Alsace, France.
