Norwegian Wood

When I wanted to find a drink that would be suitable for the Norwegian Wood music festival, which takes place in Frogner Park in the middle of Oslo, I was inspired by the name. There are actually many forested areas in the Norwegian capital, and these have a lot of spruce and birch trees, which both taste delicious. This wood slush contains just four ingredient, and it will melt in your mouth. It has a refreshing taste, just like condensed wood.

INGREDIENTS:

List of ingredients

60 ml (6 cl) Linie aquavit

40 ml (4 cl) birch shoot syrup (see basic recipe)

20 ml (2 cl) spruce shoot syrup (see basic recipe)

15 ice cubes

PREPARATION:

• Blend all the ingredients together. Continue blending them until you obtain a smooth slush mixture. Serve the drink in cooled martini glasses and decorate with a small sprig of spruce.
