A Norwegian version of malted milk.

INGREDIENTS:

1 ½ cup (3 dl) creamy quark

8 tbs. malt extract

Seeds from ¼ vanilla pod

1 cup (2 ½ dl) crushed ice

PREPARATION:

  • Cut a vanilla pod in half and scrape out the seeds with the tip of a knife.

  • Place the quark, malt extract, and vanilla in a blender. Blend on full speed and add the ice bit by bit.

  • Serve the milkshake in chilled glasses.
