Chili and Vinegar Herring with potato salad

INGREDIENTS:

List of ingredients

1 tsp. chives, thinly sliced


4 herring fillets, lightly salted

4-5 tbs. red wine vinegar


1-2 tsp. red chili, finely chopped and deseeded


2 tsp. chives


Ground black pepper, to taste

Small almond potatoes, boiled and cut in half


3 generous tbs. sour cream


2 tsp. mustard


2 tbs. scallion, thinly sliced

PREPARATION:

  • Place the herring on a plate and drizzle with vinegar.

  • Let it marinate for a few minutes while making the potato salad.

  • In a bowl, combine the potatoes, sour cream, mustard, scallions and chives and toss together until thoroughly mixed.

  • Plate the fish and sprinkle with chili and chives.

  • Serve with potato salad.
