Hot and Cold Brown Betty
INGREDIENTS:

8 apples, peeled and cored
1 cup sugar
1 packet digestive biscuits or oatmeal cookies
½ cup butter
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup cream
Chopped nuts (can be excluded)
PREPARATION:
Peel the apples, cut in two and remove the cores.
Put them in an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake in the oven at 390 degrees until the apples are tender and starting to dissolve and the sugar is caramelized.
Roughly crush a packet of digestive biscuits and fry in a pan with butter and cinnamon until light brown. Mix well.
Make whipped cream.
Arrange in layers in a glass, starting with the hot apple mix, biscuits in the middle and cold whipped cream at the top.
Garnish with chopped nuts.
